FRANKFORT - Sandi Webster Thomas, 56, wife of Jim Thomas, principal of Bryan Station Middle School, Lexington, KY died Sun, May 23, 2010 at her residence following a long battle with cancer. She was born Sep 16, 1953 at Owenton, KY to the late Florian E. Webster and Darothy Hutcherson Webster. She was reared in Grant County, KY and graduated from Grant County High School and Eastern Kentucky State University. She retired in 2003 as a systems analyst in the Governor's Office for Technology following a 27-year career. Mrs. Thomas was a member of First United Methodist Church, Frankfort, E.K.S.U. Alumni Ass'n. and Phi Kappa Phi Honorary Society. She was a devoted fan of Cincinnati Reds Baseball and everything Disney. In addition to her devoted husband of nearly 37 years, she is survived by her son, Jonathan W. Thomas, and his fiancee, Kleo Mack, both of Columbus, OH; one sister, Cindy (Earl) Ray, Hamilton, OH and other relatives. Funeral services will be 11am Fri, May 28, 2010 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY by Rev. Sandra Murphree and Chaplain Kevin Pearce. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thu at the funeral home. Burial in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 208 Steele St, Frankfort, KY 40601. Directions to funeral home from central KY are as follows: Follow I-75 North to Williamstown Exit # 154, right onto KY 36; proceed 1/8th mile and turn left onto US 25 (Main Street). Follow US 25 North one and one half miles to funeral home on right at 500 N. Main St. (US 25). Online condolences to www.stanleyfuneralhomes.com

My deepest condolences to the Thomas family. Sandi and I worked in the same state branch for 15 or more years. She was one of our top analysts and developers. She always seemed to have a smile on her face. She was very proud (justifiably so) of her son, Jonathan. I will miss her.
