Sandra Fe Dugger, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 ending her battle with lung cancer.
Sandy was born on December 16, 1942 in Beaumont Texas to William and Mary Alice Wadlington. She graduated from Pasadena High School in 1960, after which she worked for TWA as a ticket agent.
Sandy loved spending time with friends. After a fun evening out with the girls, the night ended at Shipley's. Then, just like every great love story...a tall handsome police officer came in to grab some donuts. That police office was Joe Dugger, the love of her life. They were married on February 7, 1964. They made a home with their two daughters in College Park, where they lived for 35 years. Sandy loved makeup and took great pride in looking her best. These passions lead her to beauty school. She started her makeup career working for Merle Norman Cosmetics and then Elizabeth Arden. Her husband, along with HPD, worked for the Houston Oilers. Sandy Joined Joe to work for the Oilers as the Derrick Dolls makeup artist. Together, they enjoyed an exciting life attending football games and social events in Houston. They loved entertaining; their house was always filled with family, friends and occasionally a few famous football players. Sandy was fun, witty with a dry sense of humor. She loved saying the craziest things just to get a rise of you. Sandy was a hippy at heart; her favorite words were Fab and Groovy. She was a woman of many talents that lead a colorful life; at one point, she even managed a rock band for Charlie Hays and Cathy Threadgill.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dugger, her father, William Wadlington, her mother Mary Alice Burnfin and Brother Bill Lyon. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hendricks and son-in-law Danny Hendricks, her daughter, Allison Fox and son-in-law Jim Fox, and sister Pame DeAngelo. Grandchildren include Aaron McCartney, Danny Hendricks, Macie Fox, Colton Fox, Justin Fox and wife Erin Fox, Whitney Moore and Husband Daniel Moore. Great-grandchildren include Charlotte Fox, Ben Fox, Annie Moore, Mary Moore and Margret Moore. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Sagemont Church 11300 S Sam Houston Parkway E Houston, Texas.
