Bill, Brett, Blaise, Samantha, and family, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Sandy was one of the best, I know this because she was one of my Mom's best friends, and because I remember firsthand how welcoming, loving, funny, and sweet she always was. My heart is hurting for you all, and I'm keeping you in my prayers. Love, Meg DiAntonio

To the Forcine family please accept my condolences. Know I too feel some of your pain. Sandy was indeed a warm and generous lady whose responsiveness and loving care grew over the years. My memories of her and her family from Ebensburg days, and especially at Bishop Carroll are preciously held in the recesses of my heart. She so reflected the caring warmth and glitter of her mother and the striking personality of her father, also my dear friends. To her sister Cathy and brothers Sam and Greg please know that I'll miss her. A Mass will be offered by my brother Franciscans in Loretto and may my prayers join yours so that we can all someday rejoice when we all merrily meet in heaven. As our Mass liturgy tells us "... her life has not ended, merely changed ... " as we were once together, we will be so again warmly embraced in the arms of our heavenly Father. Bill (Fr. Blandin) Karabinos

My heart aches for your family. The obituary is beautiful. The illumination of joy and spirit Sandy generously showered everyone around her with was always a great feeling: like a hug of comfort & knowing from a real angel who happened to be your neighbor/friend/mentor. Sandy was such an incredible support to me and my neighborhood. Her heart of gold still shines in all of her family. I have fond memories of Sandy wrapping herself with gratitude immersed in fresh air camping with family, relaxing in the forest, and enjoying well earned free time sipping her sun tea (the best) she brewed with fresh slices of lemon. She was a force of strength with THE smile to reassure she'll have your back when needed. Her kindness made all of us who got to know her much more enriched in life. A real life angel.
