Sandra Lee Garee

Sandra Lee Garee, 75, of Toledo, died December 5, 2018 at her home. She was born February 17, 1943 in Toledo to the late George and Emily (Hipkiss) Hoffman. She graduated from Scott High School and was employed at Coffee's Bakery, Frisch's, Don's Drive-In and worked for 18 years at Sandie's Sunday Shop, retiring in 2008.

Sandie was a member of Arthur Day American Legion Auxiliary since 1975 and was attending Unity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping, watching game shows and sharing time with family, especially her grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered for her positive, giving nature.Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dawn (Bill) Luce, Daren Garee and Sara (Art) Pescara; grandchildren, Jessica, Paige, Shane, Trent, Bill III, Bradley, Brian, Tony, Grace and Francesca; eight great grandchildren; and dear friend, Norma Langlois. Sandie was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Ernest A. Garee in 2017; and siblings, Doris Stilwell, Jon and Kyle Hoffman.Visitation will be Sunday from 1-7 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) with American Legion Auxiliary services at 6:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania.Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
