Sandra Lee "Sandy" Keefover

Sandra Lee "Sandy" Keefover (née Huntwork), aged 71, of Lincoln, NE, passed away on July 21, 2024. Born on May 17, 1953, in McCook, NE, she was a beloved figure known for her generous spirit and dedication to her family and community.

Sandy graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1971 and was a hardworking individual who cherished laughter and giving back to others. She was particularly passionate about assisting the elderly, a trait beautifully exemplified by her care for her mother, Lois, until her passing in 2013.

Sandy was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 13, 1969 in Fremont, NE and was a devoted member of the Air Park congregation in Lincoln, NE. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and she often found opportunities to engage in conversations about the Bible with people she came into contact with in her every day activities.

Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and leather embroidery. True to her generous nature, she often gave bags, blankets, and other items she had made to friends and family to express her love for and interest in them.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of three years, Leo Keefover; brother, Robert Huntwork (Julie); sister-in-law, Sally Huntwork; nieces, April Bacon (David), Leah Stewart (Nathan), Renae Stickman (Justin), Brandi Craiglow (Jesse); nephews, Jeremy Huntwork (Natasha), and Dana Huntwork; great-niece, Sofia Stewart; great-nephews, Jaxson, Caleb and Gideon Craiglow; and step-children, Joanna (Joey) DeYoung, Collin Keefover, Lindsay McClellan, and Tyler Keefover. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lois Huntwork; brother, David Huntwork; and brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Cheryl Huntwork.

A memorial for Sandy will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 1:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 3606 N. 1st St., Lincoln, NE 68521. A zoom link for the memorial will also be available for those who cannot attend in person.
