Sandra Marie Kelly

Sandra Marie (Butler) Kelly, age 67, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. She was born on March 3, 1955 to Robert William and Ruth Lorene Butler in Kansas City, Missouri.

She grew up in Grandview, Missouri and attended Grandview High School obtaining her diploma in 1973. Following high school, Sandra worked as a dispatcher for the Franklin County Sheriff's Department and later worked at Bendix/Honeywell in Kansas City for 33 years until her retirement.

Over the last few years, Sandra loved spending time with her family, many friends, and her little dog Zoey. She enjoyed the community of friends and family that she had while living in Cole Turkey Acres. She took pleasure in helping with the Osage Valley Fire Protection Ladies Auxiliary and the many events that they throw throughout the year. For fun and relaxation she would take her little Zoey for a ride in her golf cart around the lake community, playing cards and simply enjoying retirement. She loved visits from her children, grandchildren, her sisters, and close friends. She was the life of the party and was always being ornery, cracking jokes, and dressing up in silly costumes whenever the opportunity arose.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Steven C. Kelly, whom she missed dearly, in 2000.

She is survived by 2 sons, Curtis William Kelly (Lisa), of Killeen, Texas and Travis Jacob Meads (Brandi) of Cleveland, Texas, one daughter, Amy Lynn Smith (Jonathan), of Lincoln, Missouri, 10 grandchildren, Jacob, Nina, Case, Liv, Dillon, Mason, Mallory, Braden, Brent, and Broadie, 3 great-grandchildren, Bryce, Wyatt and Jaxson, 3 siblings, Sheryl Calvin (Clay), Susan Emery (John), Steven Butler (Velma), other relatives and many friends.

Private ceremonies will be held at a later date and she will be laid to rest at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
