Sandra Lynn Klatt

Sandra L. Klatt (Bourlet) 55 , was born November 29, 1968. Sandy, as she was affectionately known, died peacefully and suddenly August 11, 2024. She dedicated 30 years of her life to the City of Peoria's 911 dispatch center, serving as a Dispatch Supervisor for most of her career until her retirement in 2019.

Sandy was a beacon of love and support in her family. She played a vital role in caring for her parents in their final days, alongside her siblings.

Sandy leaves behind her husband, Martin, who describes her as the best wife one could wish for. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Rick and Tracy Bourlet; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Randy Ragon; step-son, Bradley Klatt; cherished nieces and nephews, Cassandra, Rachel, Whitney, and Jacob; great-nieces and nephews, Ellie, Emery, Graham, Elliot, Clark, and Hunter; and her beloved pets, Wrigley and Rizzo. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Richard J. and Betty L. Bourlet.

An alumna of Peoria High School, Sandy's athletic prowess as a star softball pitcher earned her an athletic scholarship to Bradley University, where she completed her Bachelor's degree. Her love for the outdoors was immense; she was an avid camper and traveler, often found cruising or socializing with her friends from the Chillicothe Rec. Area, her Florida community, and beyond. Despite her dislike for the cold, she cherished spending winters in Florida.

A get together will be arranged later and it will be known as "Sandy's Last Party," will be arranged at a later date to honor her memory and spirit.
