Sandra “Sandy” Jean (Senn) Kurtz, 82, of Winter Garden, FL passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 12, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.
Sandy was born on February 11, 1940 in Essex Junction, Vermont to Romaine and Ruby (Anderson) Yates. After the death of her father, Ruby Married Frank Senn and relocated to Egg Harbor City, NJ.
She grew up in New Jersey and met her beloved husband Charlie. She was a mother, homemaker and caregiver to her son Chris. The family relocated to Winter Garden, FL in 1982.
Upon relocating to Central Florida, she assisted her husband with two businesses and enjoyed 15 years as a Merchandise Cast Member at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. Along with her husband and son, they made many great friends along the way. She was a pillar of her community and loved by all that met her.
Together, Sandy and Charlie enjoyed cruising on Disney Cruise Line (sailing 19 times in total), road trips to New Jersey and the annual Spring Training event in Clear Water, Florida.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charlie and son Christopher. She is survived by her daughter Valorie Kurts and three grandchildren Lexington, Emma and Dietrich Wochner. She is also survived by her siblings – Ronald Senn, Barby Mangos, and Chris Senn
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to the Egg Harbor City Moravian Church, 245 Boston Ave, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215.
A Celebration of Life will follow later this fall.

Cousin Sandy. Kaye I both have fond memories of our trip to Florida a few years ago, time with you and Charlie, especially meeting and getting to know Chris. I sure had fun pushing Chris around Disney World and listening to his commentary of the place.

I am Sandy’s niece “in law”. I am married her nephew Scott Who loved Sandy, Christopher and Charlie and so much Scott has tremendous memories with Christopher.. Sandy and Charlie hosted us for a trip with our own kids to Florida , Disney and Legoland where they were the most fantastic hosts of all time! At one point we lost Jackson at Legoland And they found him using the family call!! I will never forget that! They showed us all the gems of Disney that they knew and gave us the best time that we could ever have had together!!
We watched Sandy and Charlie care for Christopher to the ultimate and most loving extent imaginable!! They also loved their extended family!! Sandy will be so missed!! ❤❤❤❤

Sandy was a wonderful woman who accepted me, a new acquaintance through another friend of hers, as a friend. She let me be part of her friend family. I will always appreciate her giving nature and welcoming me into her home when I visited. She will be missed.

As luck would have it, I spent 3 hours waiting in line to buy Disney stuff at the Disney Ana convention with Charlie and Sandy. That was 29 years ago this year in early September. Even though we didn't live close to each other, and I only got to see them whenever my brother or I visited Disney world, we shared strong bond, and all through those years we kept in touch. No sandy, Charlie, Christopher, and my brother Tony, are all gone. And each one of those have left me with emptiness in my heart. Maybe right now they're all together and reminiscing about all the good times we've had. My heart goes out to all their friends and family.
