It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Sandy on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the age of 70.
She was survived by her loving family: her husband, Irwin of 48 years; daughter, Faye (Beno) Keil and their children, Nolan and Jordan; daughter Lana (Claudio) Howeg and their son, Ethan; and son Blaine and his son Quin. Also left to cherish Sandy's memory are her extended family and numerous special friends.
Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Nelson and Viola Peden.
A Prayer Vigil will take place on Wednesday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish located on 13 Brower Drive in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the 5G2 Unit at the University of Alberta Hospital for their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
Memorial donations in memory of Sandy may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta or to the University Hospital Foundation.
