Sandra Mouzon FLORENCE-Funeral service for Ms. Sandra Mouzon will be 2 PM Friday in the Pentecostal Temple Ch-urch of God in Christ, 806 E. Pine St., Florence. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery directed by Peoples Funeral Service of Florence. She died Monday October 19, 2009. She was born in Florence County a daughter of the late General and Edith Bell Jackson. She attended the public schools of Florence County and was a member of the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ. She was employed at Health South Rehabilitation Center as a Rehabilitation Tech. Survivors include: a daughter Silonda Mouzon; a son Antwana Jackson; three brothers, Ervin Jackson, Larry Jackson and Robbie (Barbara) Jackson; two sisters, Anna Paige and Beth (Anthony) Davis ; and three grandchildren. The family is receiving friends at 1119 Patterson St., Florence.

I think back now and realize that we should be thankful for the people that God has blessed us with the to opportunity meet. Because they are the ones that truly make a difference in our lives. Ms. Mouzon was a very nice and caring person. I remember her while attending high school. I would often get a chance to talk to her when I talked to Antwana. She was always very nice to me. She always was there encouraging me when I was depressed as a teenager. And even when I was lost, had no where to turn, had no where to go, she invited me into her home, and she offered to help me get my life on the right track. She never had anything negative to say to me. It has been a while since I have talked to her, and it hurt me when I read the obituary in the newspaper. Ms. Mouzon will be truly missed by me, Not only was she a mentor, She was a beautiful woman with a beautiful family.
