Sandra "Sandy" Nuzum Obituary
Sandy attended Clarkstown High School North in New York. She received her undergraduate and master's degrees in special education from the University of Florida. Sandy served as a special education teacher in Atlanta and later in Virginia Beach at Trantwood Elementary School. She worked alongside her loving husband at United Organic Services until their retirement.
Sandy loved deeply and was devoted to God, her family and friends. She survived stage 4 cancer diagnosis the last five years with strength, grace and dignity. She will be remembered for her kind and loving heart, infectious smile and compassionate service to others.
A memorial service celebrating Sandy's life will be held on Monday, May 6 at 11:00 AM at Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, 212 19th Street Virginia Beach, VA 23451. A reception will follow at the church.

We off our most sincere condolences and prayers for strength to Mark, their girls, and all of her family. Peter and I have such a wonderful memory of waking up in our new home the day after moving in which was across the street from Sandy and Mark. They welcomed us to the neighborhood with homemade blueberry muffins and friendship. Sandy was such a generous and beautiful person...inside and out. We know that she is amongst the angels and with the Father Almighty.
