Forrest Maffit Obituary
He was born August 2, 1940 in Salt Run, Ohio to the late Forrest LeRoy Crown Maffit and Mary Virginia (Hamilton) Maffit Burris. Forrest was retired as a machine operator for 18 years with the Whirlpool Corporation of Marion. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.
Forrest is survived by three brothers and one sister, Jim Maffit of Anaheim, Ca., Cliff Burris of Marysville, Ohio, John Burris of Marion, Ohio, and Laura Doughty of Marion, Ohio; also surviving are seven nieces; and eight nephews.
Forrest was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth (Huck) Burris.
A memorial service for Forrest will take place on Thursday August 20, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Barkley Slone officiating. Contributions can be made to the donor's choice.
