Sandy Gaskins "Sandra" Wettstein

Sandra "Sandy" Gaskins Wettstein, age 87, peacefully passed away in her sleep on October 15th, 2023, in her daughter's home located in Macon, Georgia. Born on November 19, 1935, in Willacoochee, Georgia, to her late parents Stella Paulk Gaskins and John Henry Gaskins, Sandra lived a life filled with warmth, love, and selflessness.

Sandra is now reunited in Heaven with her late spouse, Lee Eugene Wettstein Sr. She is survived by her three children, Lee Eugene Wettstein Jr., Fyrn Angela "Ann" Wettstein, and Amelia Elizabeth Jozwiak (James Jozwiak), as well as her loving grandchildren. Sandra's legacy of resilience and strength will forever be remembered as she bravely faced the challenges of dementia.

Sandra was the epitome of selflessness, always putting others before herself. Her unwavering dedication and boundless compassion touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her actions spoke louder than words, reflecting a woman whose heart knew no bounds. Sandra's sacrifices were the silent whispers of a mother's love, echoing through the milestones of her children's lives.

In addition to her nurturing nature, Sandra was known for her generosity and warm smile. She found joy in making others' lives better and worked tirelessly to create a haven for her family. Her spirit now joins her beloved Lee, and the heavenly embrace of her adored family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Society of America, as Sandra's battle with dementia highlighted the importance of ongoing research and support for those affected by the disease.
