Beloved wife of the late Donald H. Kelley.

Dearest mother of Madeline Messer, Jane Ventimiglia, Richard (Melody) Barone, and the late Ralph Barone.

Dear grandmother of Dean Edgar, Scott (Deanne) Edgar, Victoria (Tom) Gianino, Tony (Glennda) Ventimiglia, Sam (Tari) Ventimiglia, Gina (Jason) Hope, and Vincent (Maggie) Barone.

Great-grandmother of Seth Edgar, Matthew Leoni, Rachel Leoni, Gabrielle Edgar, Danny Edgar, Brendan Edgar, Trevor Edgar, Sara Ventimiglia, Nina Gianino, Vincent Gianino, Dominic Gianino, Emily Hope, Jacob Hope, Annabelle Barone, Anthony Barone, Andrew Barone, Dominic Duran, Anthony Ventimiglia and Emily Ventimiglia, and great-great-grandson Blake Leoni.

Dear sister of Rose Pando, Catherine Lang, Frank Lucente, Virginia Marasco (Joe McDonnell), Tony (Joy) Lucente.

She was preceded in death by siblings Jennie Prestininzi, John Lucente, Pat Lucente, Julie Zigante, Toni Sabatino, Margaret Amiccuci, and Mary Sue Ulfig; and her parents Antonio and Maria (nee Spadafora) Lucente.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sara was retired from Standard Federal Bank as the savings supervisor and volunteered for many years at St. John Hospital, Macomb County Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, and the Michigan Medicare /Medicaid Assistance Program.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Parkinson Association, or St. Judes Children's Hospital.

Visitation will be Friday 3-9 pm at the funeral home; and the service will be Saturday 10:00 am at the funeral home.

I often think of a great memory I have of Grandma. At Maggie's and my wedding, the guests were asked to sing a love song to us. Grandma stood up and I was so amazed at her beautiful voice. I remember the room getting very quiet then erupting in applause. That was a great one...thanks Grandma!

We are very sorry for your beloved loss. One of the few greatest blessings of this life is to have a loving, gentle, protective, and nurturing mother. Not everyone gets one. Rich; you have been a most fortunate man,along with your kinfolk, to have have had Sara. All of you must have many wonderful and cherishable memories of your sweet mother. I used to live across the street in Moravian Meadows from my good friend, Madeline. My Dad and Sally met when Madeline walked across the street one day as we were sitting on my patio, and introduced them.They were both in their eighties. They sat on the patio and talked that day like they had known each other for years. They connected and, as time went by, enjoyed their conversations on either Madeline's patio or mine.

I remember Sally sometimes would be sitting on Madeline's
patio and my Dad would be sitting on mine. It was usually a beautiful, sunny day and they would wave to each other. After a few minutes, one of them would walk across the street to sit with the other and they would talk and just enjoy the day. They were friends.

Sally was blessed to have such a wonderful and caring family.

I especially will miss Sally and always remember her warm smile and wonderful spirit.
