Sarah Bost Obituary
She was born March 17, 1916, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Willard Andrew and Jettie Sloan Tharpe. She retired from Stimson Hosiery Mill and was a member of Troutman Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Bost, whom she married on January 1, 1955; a step-son, Jerry Eugene Bost; five sisters, Olean Austin, Betty Rhyne, Gladys Clanton, Rachel Lippard, and Louise Austin; and a brother, Foster Tharpe.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Barbara Jean Helton of Statesville; six step-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service celebrating Sarah's life will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. J. B. Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mrs. Bost was a sweet lady. I lived beside her in Troutman in the '80s with my 2 little girls. She & Mr. Bost were always so kind to all of us. My girls thought a lot of both of them. I know she will be greatly missed. Jesus has another beautiful angel there in the Heavenly choir. We love you Mrs. Bost.
