Died 13th September, 2013
Rest in Peace We, the family of the late Sarah Meehan wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on the recent sad loss of our beloved mother, mother- in- law, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Thank you to those who travelled long distances to be with us, those who called personally to our home, phoned, had Masses offered, attended her removal and funeral Mass. We would like to offer a very warm thanks to our extended family, wonderful friends and neighbours for providing food and organising the catering. For those who managed the traffic in very inclement weather we are truly thankful. A special thanks to Fr. Vincent Connaughton who visited our mother regularly in St. Phelim's Nursing Home and offered spiritual care and comfort to her. Thank you for your kindness and support to the family and for the beautiful Mass and celebration of her life. Thank you to Fr. John Phair and Fr. John Sexton for the many visits to her. A special thanks to Fr. Phair, Fr. John McTiernan and Fr. Eamonn McMahon who concelebrated the funeral Mass with Fr. Vincent. To Caroline, Patricia, Shane and Niamh for the beautiful hymns and music and to all the grandchildren and great grandchildren who took part in the liturgy, we offer you our sincere appreciation. We also offer our thanks to the members of St. Patrick's G. A.A. Club and Dromahair Ladies Football Club for providing the Guard of Honour. Thanks to Fowley Funeral Directors for their professionalism in the way they carried out all the funeral arrangements and to the grave diggers who prepared our mothers final resting place with such exceptional care and detail. Our sincere thanks to the Management and Staff at St. Phelim's Nursing Home, Dromahair, where our mother received exceptional care and attention. We gratefully acknowledge the work of Mary and Aisling Flanagan and their dedicated medical, nursing, catering and housekeeping team. They ensured that St. Phelim's was truly a home from home for our mother. Sincere thanks for the courtesy, thoughtfulness and kindness shown to our family at all times and particularly during mothers final days. A special word of thanks to Dr. Ballantine for the care given to mother in recent years and to her former GP Dr. Jordan who provided medical care for many many years to her. As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Sarah's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, Killanummery, on Saturday the 12th of October at 12 noon.
