Sarah "Sally" T. Owens, 78, entered God's eternal care, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.
Born June 2, 1939, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Sarah (Walton) Talmadge. Sally was the loving wife of Clark L. Owens, Sr., who died July 8, 1996.
Sally was a 1957 graduate of Kenwood High School, Essex, MD. She worked as a registration clerk for Wellspan - Gettysburg Hospital for over fifteen years.
Sally enjoyed playing bingo, working on puzzles, and playing pinochle. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Sally is survived by her children, Susan L. Miller of Bel Air, MD, Teresa A. Augustyniak of York, Katherine M. Shelleman of Biglerville, and Clark L. Owens, Jr. of New Oxford; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert R. Talmadge, Sr. of Baltimore, MD, and Michael Talmadge of Tower City. She was preceded in death by a brother, John "Punkin" Talmadge.
Viewings and times to share memories with the family will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m., on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Sally's life will be held 5 p.m., on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Ebenezer Church Cemetery, 6601 Ebenezer Road, Middle River, MD
