I will always be grateful for the loving presence of our neighbors, Sarah and Kern in Webster Park. They shared their love for the Lord with me, a young mother, by taking such an interest in my children.
Sarah read and played with Andy. I recall the time Kern soothed baby Maggie as he carried her around the room bouncing and singing a little song. They were always willing to help.
I recall the privilege of attending one of Sarah's voice recitals held in the auditorium of Webster College. So beautiful!
My deepest sympathies go out to Sarah Lou, Robert and Anne. You were blessed to have such wonderful parents.

My earliest memories are of living next door to Mr. and Mrs. Sears in Webster Park. I was an annoying little kid, but she welcomed me with open arms--reading to me for hours on end. Even after we moved away, I stayed in touch with her and have saved a number of her cards (she had the most beautiful penmanship anyone ever saw). I was proud to introduce her to my fiancé and I read the book she gave me to my own children regularly. We all have real-life angels in our world--Mrs. Sears was one of mine. I'll never forget her.

When we moved into our home as a young family with four children and a large dog, Kern and Sarah proved to be the most gracious and kind neighbors imaginable. I will never forget either of them and consider them an inspiration to this day on how to be a neighbor and friend.

Dear Sears' family, I fondly recall Sarah as a protective, nurturing, caring wife and mother. She was admirably forthright and firm in her principles and convictions. My heartfelt condolences to your family. Gabe
