Sarah SNELLING Obituary
With broken hearts, we are sad to announce the passing of our lovely Sarah, suddenly at home on December 25, 2017. Cherished wife and soulmate of Joe Truman, beautiful daughter to Mickey and the late Lee Snelling. Loving sister to Patrick (Carolyn) and Tim (Sylvie), adored Aunt to Shannon, Ryan, Taylor and Edward. Much loved daughter-in- law to Bob and Sylvia Truman, and much loved sister-in-law to Carolyn Snelling, David Truman and Maureen Truman. Sarah will be missed by her cherished furry feline Maddy and will be reunited with her furry boy Junior. Sarah was a devoted mental health therapist who had an enormous capacity for caring for all who came into contact with her. We know that she will be sorely missed by all of her friends and the people she met while at Henry Ford, St John Providence and Sedgwick Claims Management Services. Sarah was a loving friend to all of God's creatures; an animal in need had an angel in Sarah. Sarah loved her family. She also loved her home, being in her garden and her close-knit community of neighbors whom were also so special to her. Sarah had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel that they were special; a warm and inclusive human being - every single day. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Saturday, December 30 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Sunday, January 7 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Kanata Golf and Country Club, 7000 Campeau Drive, Kanata, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michigan Humane Society or The Shepherds of Good Hope, Ottawa. The family would like to thank Laurie Cole for her love and support. Rest easy our sweet Sarah, until we meet again.

Deepest sympathies to all. Although Sarah was older than me in high school, she always said hi which always meant a lot (particularly when I was in Grade 9). She was nice when she didn't have to be. That says a lot about her.

To the family of Sarah - I worked with her at Sedgwick. Although, Sarah and I were not in the same office, she still showed great compassion by sending little notes of encouragement,sharing a funny laugh, and working as a team. I am going to miss her bright personality, and warm gestures of kindness. I'm so sorry for the loss of Sarah, but I am thankful I was able to meet and work with such a great woman.

I only had one opportunity to meet Sarah in person but my wife, Eboni Anderson, spoke with great fondness of Sarah as a friend, professional, and a sister. Sarah was the first person to welcome me to WECAS in 2001. Her smile and laughter always greeted you. Her compassion for everyone stretched a long way. I ran into her and Joe at Swiss Chalet a couple weeks ago. We chatted so long she had to return her meal to be reheated. Near the end of the 'how is...' she asked 'what do you need for the Holiday Program?' and was intent on helping with clothing. Always wanting to fill a need, lend a hand and help anyone. Your heart has enriched many of us who knew you. My thoughts are with Joe and family at this time.
