Sarah Louise Cameron Sorensen

June 16, 1968; September 21, 2012 Sarah died last Friday, attended by her husband and children, her Vancouver-area family, her close friend Ann Kristin Balto from Norway, and the wonderful staff at the Burnaby Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

Sarah was born in Vancouver. Although she spent much of her life in northern Norway, she always maintained her connection to Canada - and to Vancouver in particular. Commercial Drive was her "favourite street in the world".

Sarah is survived by her children - Anne Maia (16), Elle Sina (13), Lukas (11), and Milla Elia (4); her loving and supportive husband Bent Raanes Sorensen; her mother Karen Sorensen; her father Peter Cameron; her stepmother Lisa Hansen; her brothers Adam (Melissa Birkeland) and Daniel (Elsebeth Fredberg); her sister-in-law Randi Sorensen; her parents-in-law Kristian and Inger Synøve Raanes; her nieces and nephews; and her other friends and relatives on both sides of the Atlantic.

A commemorative service will be held at the Canucks Family Education Centre, above the Eastside Family Place, 1655 William (beside the park, off Commercial Drive half a block west of Joe's Cafe) on Sunday, September 30, at 12:30.
