KRUGER, Saul. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Mt Sinai Hospital on Thursday August 25, 2005. Most beloved and devoted husband and soulmate of Toby Smiley (Smilovitch) for 52 wonderful years. Most cherished and loved father and father-in-law of Allan and Debbie, Howard and Rhoda, Donna and Steven Shein, Stuart and Katia. Treasured Papa of Adam and Kelly Kruger; Joshua, Sheri and David Kruger; Scott and Max Shein; Jordan and Emma Kruger; Brady and Brittany Shein. Beloved son of the late Eva and the late Jack Kruger. Devoted son-in-law of the late Dina and the late Moe Smilovitch. Dearest brother and brother-in-law of Sam and Monica, Elly, and brother-in-law of Sonia and Larry Valentine, Harold Smilovitch. Greatest uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his many relatives and friends. The family extends their deepest gratitude and affection to Dr. Lawrence Rosenberg. Special thanks to Drs. Alan Barkun, Stanley Heisler, Marilisa Romano and to Wendy, Judith and Tripp. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W on Sunday August 28 at 2 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, De La Savane. Shiva at his residence. Contributions in his memory may be made to the "Saul Kruger Memorial Fund For Pancreatic Research" c/o Montreal General Hospital Foundation, 934-8230.
