Scott Atkinson Obituary
Scott Richard Atkinson, 55, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017, with his family at his side. Scott was born to Betty and Jack Atkinson on September 5, 1961 in Charleston, WV. Scott spent his life creating beautiful floral arrangements through his business Ivy Creative Flowers. His work often seen at the Cincinnati Opera, May Fest, the Taft Museum, the Art Museum, and countless weddings and parties all over Cincinnati. He was a creative free spirit. He enjoyed reading, shopping, particularly at Brooks Brothers, and spending time with his family, friends, and beloved wiener-dog Schultz. Scott is survived by his partner in life of 27 years, Christopher Edwards, his loving mother Betty A. Atkinson, brother, Jack Atkinson, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Atkinson. Visitation will be held at the Spring Grove Funeral Home Tri-County, 11285 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246, 5138531035, on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 10am until 12pm with graveside services to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations in Scott's memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Online Condolences can be left at
