Scott Foley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 15, 2024.
Scott R. Foley, 52, of East Berlin, Connecticut, passed away on February 6, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on February 26, 1971, in Hartford, Connecticut.

Scott had a wild spirit and a great sense of humor. He loved his family deeply, especially his son, Eric. Scott had a passion for making people laugh and could light up any room with his presence. He was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys and fulfilled his lifelong dream of owning a Corvette.

In his free time, Scott enjoyed working on cars, watching movies, playing video games, listening to music, and attending concerts with his family. He cherished moments spent at theme parks with his son.

A loving and devoted father, Scott was survived by his only son, Eric Foley and his partner Anna Morrison, his mother Judy Butler Arcari, his brother Rick Foley and his wife Amanda Williams, his sister Dawn Sutherland and her husband Eric Sutherland, his Aunt Dottie and Uncle Ed Sweet, his Uncle Robert Butler, his Aunt Nancy and Uncle Robert Abell, his Aunt Carol Beckers, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his former spouse and the mother of his son, Nancy Foley (Thompson), his Grandmother (Gram) Irene Butler, father Richard Foley, his Uncle Ralph Beckers, and his Aunt Joann (Josie) and his Uncle Dave Cordova.

Scott was a proud graduate of the Porter and Chester Institute, specializing in Computer and Network Technology. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In keeping with Scott's wishes, no services were planned. Memorial donations may be made to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

I knew Scott over 25 years when his son and mine became best friends! He had a heart of gold. I remember buying a pool for my backyard when the boys were little and he helped me put that dang thing up! Nancy and Scott were very very close friends to me and sweet always there for Michael. I clearly remember the day we became the best of friends. Anna Reynolds put my son on the bus to go home, which was the wrong bus (he was supposed to go to daycare). I got a call from the daycare wondering where he was, I called 911. The Newington police department went to my house and Nancy left a note on my door that she had Michael. Praise be to god. Scott was like a big brother, uncle, semi father to my son and I will never forget!! Loved him and to the family, I am so sorry for this loss. You are in my prayers!!

Thank you for making my life better, teaching me to love harder, and laugh more. To the greatest father in law I could have dreamed of. Love you SP, always.
