Scott Frost Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 3, 2017.
Scott Hamilton Frost At 10:03 in the morning of October 3, 2017, Scott Frost passed away peacefully at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain Hospice in Kennesaw, GA. Scott was surrounded by the love of his family at the time of his passing. He was 57 years old. Scott was born in Columbus, OH on November 6, 1959 to the late Jack and Mary Jane Frost. Scott enjoyed his childhood with his siblings, Roxanna Frost who has preceded him in death as well as Joel (Jenny, Ben, Grace, Emily) Frost and Jack (Cheryl, Carolyn, Jacob) Frost, who survive him. While attending Westland High School in Columbus, OH. Scott played on the school's baseball team, played trumpet in the Westland Marching Band, wrote for the school newspaper, and was the Cowardly Lion in the production of Wizard of Oz. It is also in high school where Scott met Kathy MacNealy. Scott and Kathy were married June 2, 1984 and had 2 children, Kara Marie (Adam) Clayton and Kelsey Marie Frost. Scott always gave his all to his family as a dedicated and loving husband and supportive and giving dad. He also gave his all to his career in management, most recently as Corp. Warehouse General Manager for Tom Barrow Company in Smyrna, GA. He enjoyed running the activities for the office, including the annual "Soup-er Bowl" cook-off, baseball season opener parties, and pancake breakfasts. Scott also enjoyed volunteering his time as a Character Education Mentor at Kennesaw Mountain High School. Scott enjoyed living life to the fullest. He loved to travel with Kathy and their Hunt Club group and beach vacations with the family. He had an eye for perfect presentation, a gift of writing, and had an avid love of sports. Scott's perfect day was a fall Saturday with his dog Sadie, some chips and dip, good music on the stereo, and an Ohio State Buckeye victory. His sense of humor and compassion for others will be missed tremendously by his family and the surrounding community. The Frost family would like to thank the staff, nurses, and doctors of Kennestone Hospital and Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Kidney Fund in Scott's memory. A memorial service is set for November 11th, 2017 at Due West Methodist Church at 2 PM. 3956 Due West Road, Marietta, GA 30064 with a reception to follow.
