I know of no other person who lived their life as intentionally as Scott did. He had purpose and direction early in life, and began planning quietly to fulfill his passion for travel, wide open spaces and capturing the beauty around us early on. That fierce dedication, fortified by an enviable, overflowing bucket list, culminated in a love of photography, which he ultimately mastered, spurred on by his innate artistic talent, persistence, and sheer determination. Thankfully, he married a wonderful partner who traveled the world with him and supported his dreams. Together they lived a rich, full and independent life.
Scott was a healthy, vital, fit, self-directed man when this terrible disease began to impact him at 67. He fought it with great courage until the very end, although he had much more life to live. I will miss him terribly. He was a wonderful brother who inspired us all with his extraordinary "can-do spirit," images and writings of his adventures around the world (22 countries at last count, I believe). He leaves a huge hole in our hearts and lives. He left us too soon. He will be greatly missed.
