Scott Reimers Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 3, 2024.
Scott Michael Reimers, born on May 26, 1986, in Portland, Oregon, passed away on November 28, 2024, in Keizer, Oregon. He was 38 years old. Scott is survived by his beloved son, Truth Reimers of Keizer, Oregon, and his ex-wife, Kirstin Herzberg-Reimers of Cody, Wyoming. He is also survived by his father, Kent Reimers of Hillsboro, Oregon; his mother, Karen Ludlow, and her husband, Rob Ludlow of North Pole, Alaska; his brothers, Allan Reimers of North Pole, Alaska, and Robert Reimers, along with his wife Jennifer and their son Emerson of Salem, Oregon. Scott leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his grandmother, Bernadette Reimers of Hillsboro, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Reimers, and his maternal grandparents, Doug and Kay Sleeth.

Scott graduated from Sprague High School in Salem, Oregon, and pursued his passion for mechanics at Wyotech, where he earned his master mechanic designation and numerous other certifications. Renowned for his exceptional skills, Scott was a master fabricator and metalworker, winning awards for his innovative rat rods, bikes, and go-carts. His artistic talents extended to woodworking and design, but his greatest joy was his son, Truth.

In 2001, Scott moved to Cody, Wyoming, where he opened his own mechanic shop with his brother AJ. A devoted father, Scott returned to Salem, Oregon, with Truth after his divorce. He worked for the State of Oregon and later in Keizer. Known for his humor and generosity, Scott was always ready to lend a helping hand. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those he touched, and his remarkable talents and passionate spirit will be deeply missed.

First time I met Scott he was driving his rusted color low rider. Man we sat and talked about cars and what he does to them. He helped me out so much with my truck I was building. I think he got a little frustrated at times with me, but he always made time. I have several good memories with him. He will be missed deeply. He is in the arms of the lord, looking down upon us.

Scott helped me out when my power steering went out in my truck. I didn´t know what I was going to do. He told me to buy the part and he would fix my truck for me. He was always there to help someone out when they needed it. He will be greatly missed.

I was blessed to have know Scott when he was very young and maintained communication with him over the years. That sweet boy was always such a helper. Whether there were groceries to carry or dinner to make, he liked to be involved. I watched him grow into a great young man and father. I am going to miss him. Love and prayers to his family and friends.
