Scott Risner Obituary
He was a member of Berry's Creek Pentecostal Church in Bogalusa, LA, served in the US Army and was a welder. Scott graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1979. He was the most kind hearted person you could meet and was the type of person who would give you the shirt off of his back. He would help anyone he knew. Scott loved riding horses, bull riding and his blue Trans-am, but most of all he absolutely loved life.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Risner and Annette White Risner; his grandparents, Bernie Risner, Letta May Risner, Grady White and Mattie Pearl White; three cousins, Jeff Harrell, Todd Sheridan and Jerry Apgar.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his brother, Christopher Risner (Diana Smith Jacobs Risner); nephew, Lee Risner; great nephew, Noah Risner; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; lifelong best friend Danise Dantin; lifelong friends, Laurie Hobgood (David), Eddie Talley (Dena) and Linda Guilott Thomas.
The family would like to thank the staff of Solace Hospice of Poplarville, MS and Hattiesburg Health and rehab.
Private services will be held at a later date.

You are still loved and always will be. That has never changed, nor will it ever. After all, I loved you enough to marry you, and I've still loved you ever since. We made it over 5 yrs being married. But sometimes, as you know Scott, you can love someone very much, but just can't seem to be able to stay together forever, as husband and wife. Until we meet again, just know my heart still holds much love for you....and it always will. RIP till I see you again!!!

So sorry to hear of Scott's passing... when I first moved to Bogalusa in 1976, you and Scott were my next door neighbors... always looking for something to eat..ha... yes, he was a very kind-hearted person...funny.. loved life.. I still look at the photo of Scott holding LeAnn (now 40 yrs old) when she was just a few weeks old... when you and Scott were around, there was never a dull moment.... I will cherish the memories ... love to you and may God grant you peace and comfort...

Praying for you, Chris (& family) ... I know this will be a difficult loss to bear. I can't think of one of you, without thinking of the other. Had some laughs & good times, back in the day .. Will always have fond memories of those days. Godspeed, my friend!
