Scott Schafer died Sunday February 13th, 2022 at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He was born November 15th, 1960 to Betty Jane Sotsky and Frederick Glenn Schafer, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Scott was a Christian and attended Highland Community Church off Bardstown Road near his home. He also participated in activities at Urban Goatwalker (Diverse Open Mic) Coffee House. He sometimes attended Jefferson Street Baptist Community Church. Scott loved the Beatles as a group and as individual artists, 60’s and 70’s music, played Tennis for Oldham County High School, and played baseball as a pitcher in community leagues (HYAA). He was a kind person. He could be stubborn. He liked studying the Spanish language, cooking Chinese food, eating out on Bardstown Road, was a food lover and loved Family, extended family and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Glenn Schafer and he was one of the oldest of his generation and the first of his generation to pass.
Scott is survived by his brothers, Doug Schafer, Matt (Cindy) Schafer, Niece Alyssa Rose Schafer and Nephew Bryan Frederick Schafer. Aunt Lois Schafer Pharis, Aunt Rosemary Tumey Uncle Robert (Bob) Sotsky.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Bosse Funeral home 1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues, Louisville, KY 40204 with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 PM on Monday, February 21, 2022 also at the funeral home.

Scott was always a joy to chat with at the Goatwalker Coffeehouse. I will miss him. Love and light to his family and friends in this difficult time.
