Scott Stacy Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 10 to Nov. 11, 2022.
Scott Lynn Stacy was born July 17th, 1968, to Joan Martin Moore and Larry Stacy in Beverly, KY, and passed away November 9th, 2022, in Covington, KY.

Scott is survived by:

- His sons: William "Luke" Stacy and partner Dagny Tracy of Covington, KY, and Zachary Stacy of Dayton, KY,

- His mother and her husband, Joan Martin Moore and Bill Moore of Amelia, OH,

- His former loving spouse, Angela Greene and her children of Maysville, KY,

- His former spouse and the mother of his children, Cheryl Hufford of Milford, OH,

His siblings:

- Mike A. Stacy, his wife Jackie Stacy, and their daughter Sidney Stacy, of Liberty Township, OH,

- Michael L. Stacy and Erin Kinner and their children, Kylie and Hunter Kinner, of Batavia, OH,

- His aunts: Lena Hornsby and husband Roger of Knoxville, TN, Vickie Hoskins and husband Randy of Richmond, KY, Doris Jackson and husband Mike of Frankfort, IN,

- Uncle, Tommy Martin of Manchester, KY, and Randy Martin of Corbin, KY

- Multiple loving cousins

Scott is preceded in death by:

- His father, Larry Stacy

- His sister, Tracy Ann Stacy

- His aunt, Lois Faye Funk

- His grandparents, Tom and Helen Martin

Scott will always be remembered as a loving, empathetic, funny, and charismatic father, son, partner, and friend. Scott had a natural ability to make the whole room smile and laugh with his lighthearted humor and wit. Scott's favorite times were spent with his family, especially "his boys," Luke and Zach. Scott could often be found fishing around town, pursuing his relatively new passion of photography, playing a board game with his family, listening to his favorite music (oftentimes KISS and AC/DC), and watching his local sports teams on TV.

He spent much of his life helping those in need, even when he himself was dealing with his own hardships. Scott had an innate ability to empathize and genuinely cared about every person he interacted with. His many years as a counselor and social worker served to change the lives of countless children in adults in need.

Above all, Scott will be remembered as a lighthearted and family-loving man who would give the shirt off his back to the ones he loved. He is forever in our hearts and will be dearly missed.

Scott, thank you for saving my life. As a 14 year old I was indestructible, in my own mind, and thought I could do anything and didn't particularly care about the consequences.
You were there with the tough love and honesty when I needed it the most. I honestly think I wouldn't be here now to write this if not for the program we were a part of.
You were placed in my path, at that specific time in life, for a reason, and I thank you.
You will be missed by so many people.
Love ya Scott!
