Scotty R. Voyles, 62, died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a graduate of Corinth High School Class of 1966 and a Retired Senior Master Sgt Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of East Corinth Baptist Church. He was very involved with youth athletics in this community. He enjoyed working with children and had coached at the YMCA since the age of 14. He was an avid golfer and animal lover.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Ralph Culp officiating. Burial will follow in Henry Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Voyles of Corinth; three children, Kevin C Voyles (Dr. Meredith) of Auburn, Al., Jennifer Fountain of Huntsville, Al., and Caitlin McPeters Voyles of Corinth; two brothers, Bobby Joe Voyles of Corinth and Johnny B. Voyles (Myra) of StirBridge, Mass.; one sister, Peggy Ann Wilbanks of Tupelo; and four grandchildren, Cameron Elizabeth Voyles, Mallory Ann Voyles, Anna Leigh Fountain, and Olivia Kate Fountain; and his best friend, Baby Bear.
He was preceded in death by his father, G. B. Voyles.
Pallbearers will be Claude Donnie Mitchell, Matt Abbott, Daniel Woolridge, Larry Dillinger, Greg Perkins, and Jason Sawicki.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alcorn County Humane Society P O Box 1351 Corinth, Ms 38835-1351 or American Cancer Society c/o Shirley Watters Mid South Division 1100 Ireland Way Birmingham, Al 35205.

I am a member of the Class of 1966. I am so sorry to hear of his
death. I have many fond memories of Scotty from the 1st through
the 12th grade. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I was so sorry to hear of Scotty's death. Although it has been a very long time since I have seen or talked to Scotty, I remember really good times when my family visited with his while they were living in Nashville. My prayers are with his family at this time.

We are both classmates from CHS 66 and are so sad to hear of Scotty's death. Johnny B, I would have been honored to be a pall bearer, but will be out of town all week. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We will miss Scotty.

I am so sorry to hear of Scotty's passing. Yet to those who love Christ there is LIFE and JOY forevermore! To those family, friends and classmates who love Scotty and are still left here on earth for a while more, I pray for our strenth and comfort as we greive our loss. May the good memories be our joy in a time of sorrow. May the Lord guide us as we await that eternal reunion in Heaven of all those who Love HIM!
