Sean Thomas Crampton

Sean Thomas Crampton passed away at Jacobs Medical Center La Jolla after a two year battle with a malignant brain tumor. At his bedside were his partner of thirty years, Amber Wilson and his mother Susan Olney. He showed great courage and determination throughout his treatment. Those two precious years gave us all the opportunity to develop a deeper love and understanding of one another. Under Sean's tough exterior was a gentle soul with a kind heart.

During Sean's last six months he was no longer mobile and was being cared for at the Pavilion nursing home in Point Loma. Our daily visits and calls were filled with conversations about growing up in San Diego, his grandparents with whom he was very close, our cats who are an endless source of comfort and joy, his passion for collecting and his years at Legend 3D as Quality Control Manager. He spoke often and fondly of the people he worked with, the film projects and his trips to India.

Sean will be remembered for his bravery, quirky sense of humor, passion for collecting, strong work ethic, willingness to help anyone in need, love of animals and his beautiful blue eyes.



Sean is also survived by his father, Patrick Crampton, his great aunt, Marjorie Honeycutt and extended family in Arizona, California, Oregon and Portugal.

Special thanks to all those who sent messages of prayer and encouragement which we shared with Sean. And to close friends who were always there for us. We would also like to thank Sean's surgeon, Dr. Thomas Beaumont, UCSD Medical Center and Balboa Cremation Services. There are no plans for a service at his time.
