GREENVILLE, Tenn. — Sean Patrick Crawford, 30, of Greeneville, Tenn., died Monday May 19, 2008, at Durham Hensley Nursing Home after four months of a courageous fight to overcome a brain injury caused by a seizure.Mr. Crawford was born in Santa Ana, Calif., on June 15, 1977, the oldest son of Kathy and Richard Crawford of Greeneville, Tenn.Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Crawford of Irvine, Calif.Survivors include his wife, Tammy Terrell Crawford of Tifton; his brother, sister-in-law, and niece Ryan, Jackie and Alisa Crawford of Greeneville, Tenn.; his mother-in-law, Pearlie Mae Terrell of Tifton; his grandparents, Bud and Trudy Dillon of San Marcos, Calif., his uncles and aunts, Bob and Connie Crawford of Diamond Bar, Calif., Patrick and Carol Crawford of Alta Loma, Calif., Jim and Jill Dillon of Dallas, Texas, Steve and Nancy Dillon of League City, Texas and Linda Dillon of Palo Alto, Calif.; and his cousins, Jeffery and Brian Crawford of Alta Loma, Calif., Janet, Shawn and Cameron Owens of Palo Alto, Calif., Katie and Lindsay Dillon of Palo Alto, Calif., Amy, Sarah and Mike Dillon of League City, Texas, and Taylor Weisanen of Dallas, Texas.Mr. Crawford had a very loving and caring "in-law" family, Jenifer and Chad Franklin and very "special nieces" Victoria, Katilynn and Annika Franklin of Greeneville, Tenn., Diane Myers of Greeneville, Tenn., Gina Myers, and Niki and Ricky Powers, all of Virginia Beach, Va.Sean loved children and volunteered at the George Clem Head Start 3-year-old program. Special friends teachers Miss Sandy and Miss Diane and all the precious children in his class welcomed him into their hearts and saw him for the kind and sweet person that he was.Crawford’s remains were donated to the James H. Quillen College of Medicine for medical research. The family had a private ceremony at Crawford's bedside before his passing.
