It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Sean Hill at the young age of twenty-eight. Sean died in his sleep next to the love of his life, Genevieve Reid on Christmas Eve morning.
He is greatly missed by his parents, Dan and Diane Hill (Elliott) and his dearly loved sister, Caroline (Eric Dupont). He has left a major void in the lives of many, including his grandfather, Gordon Elliott, his aunts Elisa, Susan, Marion, Katherine, Suzanne, uncles Dave, Ross, Evan, Gary, Jack, Guy, many cousins, the Reid family, Jean and Lise, and friends, Max, Jason, Kevin, Cas, Jon and so many others. He will be with his beloved Granny Shirley who passed on in May, 2011, his dear Grandpa Fred and Nana Miriam.
Sean had a passion for life. He was planning to marry his beloved Gen, had just purchased a house, loved his job at the Keg PVM and was finishing his anthropology degree at Concordia University. Despite his busy schedule, he volunteered at Maison d'Hereilles each week. His accomplishments were an inspiration to all and yet, he always remained a casual guy, his friends, family and Gen were his life. He believed in helping others and was a truly caring individual. He loved sports, especially playing hockey and golf. An avid reader, he could discourse on so many subjects with intelligent and knowledge. Sean has had a major impact in the lives of many. At 6'7" with the most beautiful smile ever, he was the gentle giant. Earth's loss is heaven's gain. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Doctors without Borders or Maison d'Hereilles.
Please join us in a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 7 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Sheraton Airport Hotel, 12505 Cote de Liesse, Dorval.

If I can offer any words of consolation to Sean's family, it would be that everyone has a mission in life and once that mission is fulfilled, we move on. I just lost a very dear friend less than a month ago; he had just celebrated his 29th birthday and he too passed very suddenly... looking back on everything he had done, trying to make sense of why he passed so young, we realized what an incredible impact he had on the lives of those around him, life-changing impact even. Had it not been for him, so many of us wouldn't be where we are today; we owe him a lot and seeing how highly my friends have spoken of Sean, it's clear to see he was truly an angel on earth. My deepest and most sincere condolences to the Hill family and all those mourning his loss. He has left behind an incredible legacy of love and purpose xox
