Sean Patrick McGrath, Esq. (Age 51)
On March 22, 2018, Sean Patrick McGrath, an accomplished attorney and zealous litigator, passed away at his home in New York City.
Born in The Bronx on June 12, 1966, to proud parents Moira and the late Anthony McGrath, Sean was the proud graduate of Regis High School (NY), the University of Notre Dame, and Georgetown Law School.
As the well loved brother of Eileen (Mark), Mary (Danny), Geannine, Caroline (Mark), Brian, Martin (Daniela) and the adoring uncle of Tony, Callie, Alison, Patrick, Kiera, Julia, Kevin, Jack, Thomas, and Michael, Sean will forever be remembered for his generosity, thoughtfulness, quick wit, strong opinions, conviction, and intelligence.
Sean's passion and love for his family, sports (particularly all things Mets, Jets and Notre Dame), history, literature and his Irish heritage earned him the devotion of family and enduring friendships.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made on Sean's behalf to Catholic Charities of New York.

Sean and I got to know each other because we clerked for the same judge after law school. His passing is a terrible loss. He was so intelligent, quick-witted, and fun to be around. I did not have the pleasure of knowing his family, but please accept my sincerest condolences.
