Sean Alan Nettles, 55, of Charleston, SC, passed away on July 25, 2024, at home with his family by his side. Born in Charleston on September 18, 1968, he was a lifelong resident and a cherished member of the community.

Sean was an outstanding electrician who proudly owned his own company, providing exceptional service and mentorship to many in the field. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were admired by colleagues and clients alike.

A devoted family man, Sean is survived by his loving wife, Alyssa Smith; son, Sean A. Nettles II; daughter, Katelyn Nettles; mother, Jelain J. Nettles; father, Lewis J. Nettles, Jr.; and sister, Sylena Miles along with her husband, Dewayne Miles. Known for his warm and outgoing personality, Sean was often described as someone who never met a stranger and treated everyone as a friend he hadn't yet met. His home was a hub of laughter, especially during football games and races, sharing these moments with family and friends brought him immense joy.

Sean was an avid fan of Carolina Gamecock Football, Nascar Racing, and enjoyed fishing.

His educational journey began at Stiles Point Elementary and later at James Island High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships and laid the foundations for his future.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Grace Point Church, 942 Folly Rd, Charleston, SC 29412. A service to celebrate Sean's life will follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Sean can be made to the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. Donations can be made online at [MUSC Hollings Cancer Center Donation Page](https://fundraise.musc.edu/give/378834/#!/donation/checkout).

Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services of Ladson, SC is assisting the Nettles family during this time. Sean's legacy of kindness, warmth, and generosity will live on through the many lives he touched.
