Sean Strickland

The family of Sean M. Strickland, 26, of Cape Coral mourns his tragic death of June 5, 2016.  Sean was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1990 to Bob Strickland and Judi Walters.   He grew up in Rochester, NY and attended Brighton High School and Monroe Community college. Sean moved to Cape Coral in 2015.  Survivors include his mother Judi Walters and stepfather Gregg MacDonald both of Cape Coral, sister Diana Strickland (husband Joe Hughes) of Yardley, PA, and brother Alex Strickland, PA. Aunts and uncles in Cape Coral include Patricia and Jim Matula, Lois Kellet and Dave Kellet, Robert Hollenbach. Aunts and uncles in PA include Donna Zlocki, Butch and Jackie Walters. Sean's uncle Bill Strickland resides in Utah. His cousins were many, the closest ones making up the "Three Musketeers" with Sean were Gabriella Zlocki and Rachel Walters, both of PA. Sean leaves behind many close friends and adoptive family in Rochester, NY. To know Sean was a privilege. He was a kind, gentle soul who offered a hand to anyone who needed help. Sean greeted everyone with a smile. He loved the beach, the ocean and everything Irish. He was an avid ice hockey fan and played hockey as a goalie throughout his youth. He also followed the Packers faithfully. The family will receive friends and family at the Fuller Metz Funeral Home at 3740 Del Prado, Cape Coral, beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, June 11, 2016 with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m.  Please visit www.fullermetz.com to share a memory or condolence.
