Seniha was a treasured friend to me for many years. I will always remember her for her amazing artist flair and for her love of life and all things good and beautiful. I will dearly miss our conversations about family, current events, art, and of course flowers! A truer friend than I could ever have hoped for, was you, dear Seniha.

There are not so many Turkish families in central Jersey. Growing up, I accompanied my parents for get togethers at the Gur home and I fondly remember Bayan Seniha and Bay Hyre’s traditional hospitality. My mother considered her a great friend. Seeing Seniha’s beaming smile as hostess and feeling her warm personality remain with me today. I hope that Reha and Suha accept my condolences.

Reha and Suha and families,
Your mother and father were a wonderful extension of our family when Karen and I were growing up. They were true friends to our parents and I know I have many happy memories of times with both of them. I will always cherish your mother's talent. She was a great example to me that when creativity comes along don't stop it just go with it. I always used to say that she had more talent in one finger than I had in my whole body BUT she always, in her kind sweet way, encouraged me to not give up. I will think of her when finding beauty in nature just as she did .Rest well knowing that her sweet soul will be remembered with love by many.

I will always remember Seniha Hanim with a smiling face. She was beautiful inside and out. I thought I connected with her; she always complimented me (and vice versa), was interested in my family, and said encouraging things.
She will be missed dearly. Rest in peace my sweet friend...

Aunt Seniha was in my life since I was a child - like family. It's very hard to lose her. I wish her everlasting peace. She was a gentle, kind, artistic gentle-lady.

Our dear friend Seniha will be always remembered with her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Seniha will live in my heart and I will remember her when I look at flowers, sunsets, sunrises, when I listen to her favorite composers. When I think about her, I will find the same peace and love I had with her in her beautiful garden full of morning glories, roses, daisies and irises, and so many others that she knew all the names of, one by one. I wish I had more time to learn from her about flowers, music, art, and so many more beautiful and meaningful things in life.

Seniha now free and is at peace in her beloved nature in universe.

Biz onu çok sevdik!

What a wonderful person she was. I enjoyed having one-on-one conversations in friends' get together. I had the joy of driving with her to Lambertsville, NJ, and observe her excitement of looking at beautiful items displayed there. She bought a bright red silk fabric and told me that it would be a fancy blouse for her special moments. I loved her as a friend and as an artist and a beautiful woman. Thank you for the memories. Rest in peace dear Seniha.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Seniha for several years at Lenox. She was perpetually upbeat and always interested in hearing what her colleagues were up to, both professionally and personally. She was almost like a den mother to all of us younger designers, providing encouragement and and a smile that could always light up a room.

My most sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I met Seniha when I was working on Lenox's centennial history. We shared many artistic interests and I always enjoyed visiting with her. She was a brilliant designer. I send my condolences to her family.
