Who amongst us would have had the gravitas,the grace,the poise,the fortitude to do what you did knowing what you knew. That is what makes you so special . So unforgettable. With dark clouds hovering you weren't distracted you made sure your precious jewel was taken care off. You welcomed what was about to transpire and personally dictated and organized your final journey to be in the presence of God and his angels. You are in a better place Sweet Daughter, loving sister, and caring mother.You will be missed.

The best memories I have is when we were young, with our parents. The photo I included shows her mother with us.Her brother, sister, and my brothers on one side. I am with my sister on the other side.

I am speechless and very sad to hear of your untimely death. You wanted to have lunch and made me promise to call you & make the time the last time we met. I promised but returned from my extended trip to hear of your illness. I feel so guilty...

Sergutisha my dear, I'm still in shock and struggling to accept the fact that you have left us so soon! I can hear your voice and see your smiling face vividly. You were such a dear sister to me and I loved you with all my heart. You confided in me and I respected your wish and kept it to myself. But I must tell you that your upbeat and positive attitude fooled me. I was waiting for your return to work, and never thought I would get such news so soon after I saw you last. I lost a big sister who always gave me her honest advice in everything I pursue in life. I lost a dear and selfless friend who was always there for me whenever I needed help! Sergut (known to me as Sue) was a wonderful inspiration of what a strong woman can be. Prior to my retirement from the World Bank Group and resettlement in Sydney, Australia, we used to catch up every so often and celebrate our one-day-apart May birthdays by going out to lunch. Chatting with Sergut -- as two single mothers -- about our respective issues with teenage children, revealed the pride she had in her daughter in terms of her talents, academic accomplishments, and strive to be a good student. Sergut's warmth and giving nature touched me in many ways. While I know that many at IFC will miss Sergut, I -- on the other side of the world in Sydney -- will also miss her in spirit. Her memory will not be forgotten.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of our lovely Sergut. I worked with her for many years at IFC. She was a bright star who had so much energy and love for the work she carried out. She would always be the first to reach out to help and did so with fun. I worked many a CES party with her making and teaching me how to make some great cocktails. She worked hard on initiatives at the office to give a voice to women in the workplace. She worked tirelessly to advocate for ACS. She will be deeply missed.
