SETH LEE OWENS, age 11 years, a resident of the Holly Meadows Community, Parsons, WV, departed this life Monday, January 6, 2014 following a sudden illness. Death was attributed to complications of appendicitis. He was born Monday, August 5, 2002 at Buckhannon, WV, a son of Mindy Dawn Persutti of Warrenton, VA and Timothy Wayne Owens, II and wife Krista of Holly Meadows. Surviving are one stepbrother, Ethan Michael Rosenau; two half sisters, Savannah JoAnn Murphy and Maci Lee Owens; Maternal Grandmother, Linda Lee Shirley Persutti and Randy "Buckwheat" Bohon of St. George; Paternal Grandmother, Mary Frances Jones Swisher and husband Steve of Parsons and Paternal Grandfather, Timothy Wayne Owens of Rosendorf; Paternal Great Grandparents, Melvin and Dolly Owens of St. George and Dora "Dot" Jones of Thomas. Preceding him in death is his Maternal Grandfather, John Anthony Persutti, Jr. Seth attended Tucker Valley Grade School, where he was a member of the Tucker County Mt. Lions Youth Football Team. He was a member of the Little League Basketball Team of which he played for the Knicks. He was a member of the Kingsford Baseball Little League Team, and he was known as a slugger. He attended St. Johns United Methodist Church of Parsons and The Life Church of Virginia. Seth enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, video games, playing outside and wrestling with his siblings. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. The Rev.
