Seymour Williams Obituary

Sy was born in Boston Mass 88 years ago, and grew up in the twin cities of Minneapolis and St Paul, before joining the Navy for WW II. Sy continued his service through the Korean conflict. His military service carried him around the world and brought him many lifelong friends. Sy moved to the west coast, living in California, Oregon, and settling in the Seattle area

Sy was preceded in death by his brother, Major General Lawrence Williams, and his wife of 39 years, Connie. Sy is survived by his daughter, Arlene, and two sons, Scott and Jonathan. Dr. Arlene Frank resides with her husband Dr. Peter Vagi in Boca Raton, Florida. Scott Williams lives with wife Audrey and their two daughters, Sara and Alyssa in Renton, WA. Son Jonathan with his wife Julie and their two sons Mathew and Eric reside in Redmond, WA.

Sy was a retired Naval Supply Corps Officer with 20 years of active and retired service followed by his move into the business community, culminating with his becoming President and Executive Director of the Consumer Credit Counseling service of Seattle. Sy was commended for his work by Governor John Spellman with a special proclamation for his work serving the public in debt counseling. Sy was known for his volunteer work being rewarded numerous times for service to Pacific Medical and the Kline Galland Home.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jon and his family. Both of us have lost a parent and we know it is a tough time. Please take comfort in the fact that Sy is in a better place and surrounded by loved ones.
