Shane Bledsoe Obituary
Braylon was in the sixth grade at Meadowview Middle School where he made excellent grades and scored third in the state on EOG tests. He was an outgoing confident boy who was fun loving but could be serious minded and loved to explain the details of how things worked. He and Shane were inseparable and loved the outdoors, especially hiking fishing and riding bikes.
Shane was in the third grade at Flat Rock Elementary School where he too excelled in learning. Tender hearted and extremely loving Shane always had a smile for everyone. He loved gospel music and God. He was shy with a laid back spirit, enjoyed spending time with his family and playing video games.
Both boys were remarkably well mannered and appreciated even the smallest gift they received. They were a blessing to Old Time Baptist Church and the people there. Their friends and family will never forget their generous loving souls.
Braylon and Shane are survived by their parents, Gregory Arnold and Brandi Anderson Bledsoe of Mt. Airy; brother, Austin Steele Hicks of Arrarat; paternal grandparents, Anita Myers of Elkin and Arnold Bledsoe of Pinnacle; maternal grandparents, Aksel and Brenda Anderson of Savannah, GA; aunts, Melissa Anderson, Laura Tilley, Aleta Wolfe, and Carla Foster; uncle, Marvin Richardson; and cousins, Ecko Lynn Browder, Leah Jones, J. Wolfe, Tshonia Wolfe, and Luke Wolfe. Their cousin, Shadoe Wolfe precedes them in death.
The family will receive friends from 4 PM to 6 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Braylon and Shane's memory to Old Time Baptist Church, POB 68, Tobaccoville, NC. My sweet little poopoo I couldnt begin to write all the things we loved about you or are going to miss. I just want you to know that me and momma miss you so deeply and will cry for you every day until we are reunited.You will always be daddys poopoo head. shane o how i miss the time we did spend together you where so nice funny and o how u love cinamonrolls and how you wld always hold your arms out and say i love you more than the whole universe you was so blessed and your passing away has blessed many hearts and one day i will see you again and it will be a great reunion in heavin and when we all meet there will b nothing but happiness and no pain I LOVE YOU MORE THAN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE shane gregory bledsoe

Dearest Bledsoe Family....I was so very saddened to hear of the loss of your precious children....Braylon and Shane. I know your hearts are so broken and the pain is almost unbearable. I can't help but sing the song that children learn at an early age...

I want so much to talk to you little guys but I can only utter the words from my heart. I want to hold you both close to me and have your sweet kisses again. God has truely given me comfort because I can only think of the wonderful times we have had. I'm remembering what good little boys you were, the respect you had for your mama and daddy and your humility Braylon, when you read to me from a college text book when you were so young and you said " It's just reading, everybody can read!" .Shane was right behind you, just as brilliant and you both made me so proud of you...The pain and great sadness of losing you seems more than my heart can bear but the pain your mama and daddy have has to be so much greater. I'm so happy that you are both together in heaven as you were the short time we had you with us. When little children go home to God, they do not become angels. You have passed from death to life, you are now saints of God and you have the greatest honour of all. You have won the ultimate prize. You have a special place, at the right hand of the father and your joy has no boundaries. You can run and play forever in heaven where there is no night. I watched the sun come up, the morning after God called you home and I was overwhelmed at the brilliant beauty of the sun rising, and breaking through the clouds and I could see your smiling faces and the laughter in your eyes and I know that your beautiful smiles are lighting up the heavens as they lightened the hearts of those of us who love you so unconditionally. We are remembering when both of you learned that God had given his life for you and you both gave your hearts to Him and the exuberance and total joy when you just couldn't wait to tell me about it. I can see you now, running up and down the trails in the mountains . I can hear you Shane, saying, " My brother can fix it, He can fix anything" We cannot bring you back, We would not want to. We will see you again one day and we will surely come to be with you. Our joy will be as great as yours.....Two little boys whose lives touched so many will never have to experience the the hardships of the world. You have passed into eternal and everlasting joy which surpasses anything we could imagine. My little grandsons, I love you so much....

Little Shane I keep thinking about the times you spent the night and how you and Luke would play with each other, you guys loved to wrestle, and I think of how much you loved cinnamon rolls and the look on your face when we would fix them, I also think of when the tooth fairy left your money under the wrong pillow. I love you we all do, God gave me some wonderful memories of you that I will always cherish, and I thank him for them. I will never forget them.
I want to thank everyone on Greg and Brandi's behalf for all the prayers.

I had the privilege of teaching Shane this spring during my student teaching at Flat Rock Elementary. He was such a bright and wonderful student and was well loved by his classmates. He will truly be missed!! May God wrap his arms around you and comfort you during the difficult days ahead.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
