Shane SHEEHAN Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 13, 2018.
My sweetheart SHANE - my best friend, my lover, my partner in business and married 50 years and will be together forever. "MAKING GOOD MUSIC TOGETHER FOREVER" will be on the cemetery marker. From the very first time you walked off the elevator and KNEW I WAS THE ONE as you walked toward me. I was wearing a blonde wig at the time – we had so many good chuckles over time with that one.

All the places we travelled together. Sharing so many great experiences and making memories to enjoy both business and pleasure. Toes in the sand enjoying the humid air and floral smells of Hawaii at the waterfront hotel. Making special LIFE LONG friends "so many wonderful people". Taking the seaside train from Los Angeles to San Diego then getting sunburn red in San Diego watching the aquatic show and having a fabulous sunset dinner on a private patio till midnight.

Living by the sea and listening to the ferry horns every hour. We were always drawn to the beaches – sand – sunsets and just watching the tide roll in or out. Then living in a hillside home at Tsawwassen Beach watching the winter tides crash against the retaining wall. 50 steps down to the front door. Have a photo in my mind of someone special helping us move in and carry a large bowl while flip falling The bowl was safe and so was he. Fell in love again up the hill swimming at all our pool parties watching the ferries come and go. When travelling to Toronto to a hotel that had a ferry toot right out the doorstep to the island. Miss that sound. Staying at a famous hotel in New York highly rated and the room was the size of a broom closet Ahhh but we had first class plane seats returning home. The wonderful storms at Long Beach watching the tide crash in..

Remember the trip to Las Vegas wandering around and enjoying everything except the hustle to buy timeshare and saying NO and being rushed out the back door. (thank goodness) We enjoyed a trip to 100 mile house by small plane and wandered around by ourselves having lunch and dinner then returning to the plane and the sales people had no idea we didn't get hustled to purchase a timeshare home there and got on the evening plane home. We sat in the front window seat of a tour bus to Leavenworth at Christmas but the highway pass was snow blocked. The driver took a back road from the south side, a narrow winding mountain road. Like driving highway speed down the Grouse Grind hill. We were terrified.

Travelling became not as enjoyable and we stayed put enjoying our Dalmatians and black and white puddy cat. So many awesome photos with the spotted ones and we felt very well protected with a good bark. Even the cat knew how to sneak out the back door cat window and run around the front to chase off some nasty animals that were not allowed on the property.

You were the most gentle soul – very kind to almost anyone you met. You could help them, show them how to get well to enjoy life. You had a wonderful way about you that people would never forget you. You never talked down to anyone and respected everyone and the choices they made. You protected me an guided me so I could become strong and healthy. You always protected anyone you felt was wronged and would stand up and fight for them even if no one else knew why you did it.

The knowledge you gained with all your medical research. The library you collected of Nutritional health books, Stock market investments and working with pensions for all the staff. Your original creation for a Made in Canada business all these years. So much knowledge in your head and you always wanted to learn more. There was always more than one way to solve anything. Your special hat collection I will wear with pride.

I miss you so much but the Colon Cancer made it impossible to go on. Thank you for sharing so much of your time with me. I love you – Dianne
