I think of her every know and then as a leader this state needs now:) She always had a way of walking down a hallway in HS and telling another peer something and then she´d keep walking, stop, and do that look over her shoulder telling the peer never mind or Oh!, Forget about it or "I´m just kidding" with that smirk of hers!

You have my deepest sympathy. I was shocked to hear of Shannon´s passing. The Carey family were a part of our lives for a small of time but the memories of her will never fade.

What can be said about someone who was truly exceptional as a friend? Shannon was one of those friends whom we all aspire to be and are fortunate to have. She was there for me through moments of laughter and tears. In those moments that put our resilience to the test and reveal who our true friends are, Shannon was the beacon of light amidst the darkness. I am incredibly grateful for having been blessed with her friendship, and although this world feels grayer and emptier without her, I am confident that we will meet again. Rest in peace, my friend.

Since I had never met my cousins, the kids of my Uncle Wonderful, I looked them up a few years ago and was blown away by what a powerhouse Shannon was. I was aware of her health battle and was cheering her on from Montana. What a tremendous loss... I am so very sorry and sad for all who loved her. Barb Lair (Jackie Carey)

To a classmate that was always there to lead the way in humanity of others and sharing a smile or do you need help; out going and kind.

Rest in peace Shannon. It was a pleasure going to high school with you. Definitely one of the nicest people we had in our class of '93. Thank you for all your advice for my son and what he should do in his custody battle, every word mattered. Much sympathies to Shannons family and friends.

She was a beautiful person inside and out. She lit up a room with her energy and oh that smile. She was such an amazing person and the world was a better place with her in it. Forever in my heart my dear old friend. God Bless and comfort those left behind to cherish your memory.

I enjoyed working with shannon on a toxic tort personal injury case several years ago. She told me one of her favorite movies was the wedding crashers as we worked on the cases. shannon was always pleasant, respectful and willing to listen and share her ideas. I send my sincere condolences to her family, friends and law firm. Rip shannon!
