On the loss of your son and brother. We have many happy memories of Shannon from the time he was born. When we visited him in Vancouver, he was all smiles and full of happiness.

The news of Shannon`s death has left me quite sad. Shannon and I had been friends for many years. He was like a brother to me. Shannon and I had lost contact with each other the last year and I had tried to track him down but I had no luck. Perhaps I didn`t try hard enough. You don`t realize till something is gone. My thoughts were always with him and I will always love and remember him. He was a great influence on my life. I miss him.

I only knew Shannon briefly but during the time I spent with him he always had a smile on his face. He was one of the most gentle and friendly people I have ever met. The world is at a loss without him. God Bless.

I feel like I have gotten to know Shannon over the past few weeks through the memories of him expressed by his family and friends. His qualities of generosity, friendship, and joie de vivre are admirable. I will remember his words: "everyday is a gift" and let that guide my own actions in the New Year and beyond.

My condolences Tara, John and Lili, and to all his family and friends.

I worked with Shannon during the summer of 2004 in Dawson City. He was one of the nicest kindest guys that I have ever met. It seemed no matter what happened he always had a smile on his face.

He will be missed.

We were close friends as well as siblings. I'll miss laughing and jesting with him. I'll miss talking for hours about anything and everything on the phone. His nieces, Anya and Delenn will miss knowing a wonderful uncle, who always wanted to know about them. I'll even miss the hockey pools. I'll just miss him. His life was too short.
