Fogle, Shari L. (Eckhardt)

Shari L. (Eckhardt) Fogle, age 74, of Sheboygan Falls passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Shari was born on April 15, 1942 in Sheboygan, a daughter of Roberta M. (Green) and the late William H. Eckhardt. She was a 1960 graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. She was a faithful member of Zion Evangelical Covenant Church in Sheboygan.

Shari was blessed with a servant's heart and was generous with her time and whatever she had. She always was thinking of others and putting others needs before her own. She truly loved her neighbor as herself. She was a cancer survivor for over 25 years and faced many other health issues. She gained her strength from her faith in Jesus Christ. Despite her life circumstances, she believed the passage, This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Her kindness and compassion for people brought her to the Sheboygan Retirement Home where she was employed, first as a CNA and retired as Activity Director 40 years later. Her love of people was evident in her volunteer work and her service on the board of directors for the Rainbow Kids Organization.

Shari was a loving mother to her late daughter Mary Jo Fogle and her sons; David (Karen) Fogle of Castle Rock, CO and Thomas (Jill) Fogle of Sheboygan; and loving grandma "Schnookie" to her 6 grandchildren, Lauren, Adam, and Eric of Colorado and Parker, Chandler, and Anna of Sheboygan.

Shari loved being with her family and watching them grow. She enjoyed following her grandchildren's school and sporting activities as much as possible. Shari also loved traveling, walking the beach, shopping, a good Sheboygan fish fry, Elvis, watching her "soaps", going to the movies (of course, with popcorn), angels, and just being with her many friends.

Shari is survived, and will be truly missed, by her mother, Roberta Eckhardt, brothers William (Kim) Eckhardt of Milwaukee and Steve (Cindy) Eckhardt of Sheboygan Falls, sister Julie (Tom) Kleefisch of Sheboygan; nephew Dave William (Katie) Eckhardt of Milwaukee; nieces Becky Eckhardt of Sheboygan and Melissa and Kayla Kleefisch of Sheboygan and a multitude of other family and special friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Shari's life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at Zion Evangelical Covenant Church (1125 N. 6th Street Sheboygan, WI 53081) with Pastor Chris McKnight officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Shari's name.

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Sharon and Ken Differt, Sherry and Mike Basch, Dr. Michael Johnson and his staff, the medical staff at the St. Nicholas Dialysis Center, especially Lori Ciotola, the Aging and Disability Resource Center Volunteer Staff, and the medical staff at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay for the wonderful care she received.

Tom and Jill,

Our hearts go out to you and your entire family on the passing of your mother. Although we didn't know her, her influence was reflected in you Tom through the passion you have for developing youth. We will always be grateful for the time you spend with Eric so he could fulfill his dream of playing college baseball. He became a much better person through his experience with you.

Our condolences to you, the entire Fogle family and may God Bless you.

Always had a smile on her face and a good word to share. She was always great to me as we grew up and was a great supporter at all of our baseball games in high school. Great role model! My prayers go out to Tom, Jill,Dave and all the family as she will be deeply missed! May her faith strengthen all those around her and provide comfort as we examine how we live and our priorities in life!
