Sharma Weedy Obituary
Sharma L. Weedy, 84, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at her residence. She was born August 10, 1934 in Glouster, Ohio, daughter of the late Loren Phillips and Ida Mae Jewell Phillips Stoneburner. Sharma was the widow of the late Robert Carleton Weedy. She retired as a nurse from Carborundum and also did private duty nursing. Sharma was a member of the Logan Church of The Nazarene. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Mark (Betty) Weedy of Carroll and Paul (Lisa) Weedy of Dahlonega, Georgia; daughters, Kathleen (Charles) Wiseman of Westerville, Chris (Jimmy Creech) Weedy of Raleigh, North Carolina and Becky Weedy of Logan; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, David (Judy) Phillips of Carroll and Ralph (Marie) Phillips of Fayetteville, North Carolina and sisters, Sharon Fairclough of Lancaster and Gertrude (Jerry) Fraber of Mt. Victory, Ohio. In addition to her parents and husband, Sharma was preceded in death by her brothers Darrell and Billy Phillips. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019 in the Logan Church of The Nazarene, 650 Walhonding Ave., Logan, with Rev. Thomas L. Gates II officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the Logan Church of The Nazarene on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Sharma L. Weedy to HAP-CAP/S.E. Ohio Food Bank, P.O. Box 220, Glouster, Ohio 45732, FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or to the Logan Church of The Nazarene, 650 Walhonding Ave., Logan, Ohio 43138. Sadly we never met Sharma but feel we knew much about her through Mark and Betty. Whenever they came to England Sharma would send home made gifts for her extended family. We also received beautiful Christmas cards from her.
She will be sorely missed by her family but is now free of pain. God bless and keep Sharma in His loving care.

We have known Sharma for a few short years, but it seems more like a lifetime. A precious lady that loved her church/ Sunday school/ fellowship with many. A major blessing in our lives, always giving & thinking of others in their time of need. Her visits will be missed, her prayers as well; a smiling face even in her ailment & still she sends cards & goodies and has concern for others. She has earned her crown & heaven will rejoice! Sharma now has her Angel wings and is in heaven with her loved ones and friends. She was a true friend and a blessing to all that knew her. Her homemade pies and soups that she brought to the Olivedale swimclass and her cards of encouragement to her friends will be forever remembered and treasured. The last time I saw Sharma was in Church a few weeks ago, my Mom had just passed away and Sharma said to me "I am rejoicing along with your Mom because she is in heaven with our Lord and Savior!" Now I rejoice with Sharma, she was so kind and giving to my Mom and I, she will be deeply missed.

Jack and I are so sorry to hear of Sharma's passing. she was really a true and great friend of ours. she never missed sending us a card for just about all occasions and her gifts of home made bread and other things that she would bake This past year when I was hospitalized She came a couple of times and had prayer with us and stopped by the house several times. She just seemed to not be able to do enough for us. She was such a great lovely lady and we loved her so much. Our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. She will really be missed by us and I know so many others.
