Sharon Ballard Obituary
She served in law enforcement for over 20 years. Sharon lived an amazing life, filled with love. She loved completely and was loved by many in return. She touched so many lives with her beautiful heart and smile.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Tillie Mae Craig; daughter, Jennifer Alligood Ballard; and great-granddaughter, Rylie Dakota Walker.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years James Ballard of Dawson, Texas; her dads, Tony Short of Dawson, and Roscoe Craig Sr. of Bastrop; daughter Tina and husband Paul Wolfe of Garland; daughter Toni Ballard of Austin; son Jay and wife Melanie of Garland; daughter Julie and husband Daniel D'Touge of Texarcana; daughter La'ree Ballard of Nashville, Tennessee; grandson Christopher Walker of Garland; grandson Justin and wife Alanna Walker and their two daughters, Kaidence and Paisleigh of Dawson; granddaughter Ginger Walker of Dawson; grandson Vincent Ramsey; granddaughter Lesley and husband Christopher Schultz; seven brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Cook Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas, with the funeral service to immediately follow visitation.

Sharon, G_d bless you now and forever! You always had me laughing or smiling. I will never forget and will always love u. I am sure you are up there arranging everything for the rest of us with jokes, smiles, and love with G_d. We couldn't be better off! Heaven just became a better place cuz u r there!

I've had the pleasure of knowing and loving Sharon as a second mom since 1985. I was truely blessed to have her in my life. I'm so sorry to hear that she had to leave us. I'm praying for you guys! I love you JD, Tina, Traci, and Toni. I wish I could be there for you.

Aunt Sharon, my heart is hurting so badly since You have been gone. I never got to tell you how much meant to me, I will always regret that. My beloved friend Sharon,
I am going to miss you so much. I hope you knew what a huge and important part of my life you were. I will miss our 2 hour phone conversations. I will miss our visits where I begged you to stop talking because it was almost morning and we hadn't slept yet. What I wouldn't give for one more of those visits or one more of those phone conversations.
My heart has a huge hole in it where the place is that was designated only for you.
You will never be forgotten.
