Sharon Kaye (Hamm) Hankins was born on May 29th, 1958 in Little Rock, AR and went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 26th, 2014. She resided in Little Rock all her life. She was a member of the Nazarene Church where she used her musical talents as a singer and a pianist. She sang solos and lead church music for most of her life. Sharon loved her family. She worked at Ragan Safe and Vault.
She was her happiest being with her husband and best friend Eric; her children and Charliey. She was very competitive and loved doing everything with 100% enthusiasm. She was a mean fisherman, bowler, golfer, game player, and even competed in karaoke where she was always a winner. Her beautiful voice and musical talent was always focused on her love and strong faith in Christ. Sharon loved animals; her home has always included at least one sweet four legged friend if not more. She will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dean and Janet Hamm; her grandson Aryn Rhys Noble. She is survived by her husband Eric Lee Hankins; son Matthew Ryan Wylie and wife Amy; daughter Amanda DeAnn Noble and husband Tim; granddaughter Charliey Wylie; her sister Dena Furton and husband Shawn; her nephews TJ Furton and Cameron Furton; Her brother-in-laws Stephen Hankins and Travis Taylor.
In lieu of flowers a fund is established at Tru Service Federal Credit Union for her granddaughter Charliey Dean Wylie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, AR 72002.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 31st, 2014 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Dena and Family:
I am so sorry to hear about Sharon. We were pretty good friends in High School, lived across the street as kids, and worked with her at Hollis & Company after Matthew was born. She was a true sweetheart. I have some old photographs of Sharon in our teens, that I plan to try to get back to Sharon's family. With sympathy, Julie

Our hearts were broken when we read the news about Sharon. We remember her so well as a vital and vibrant member of our church in Little Rock. Her singing, whether alone or with Donna, was always uplifting and brought us joy. She was a multi-talented lady and our memories of her, her children, her parents and her sister will always be cherished ones. Our prayer is that God will grant Eric, Matt, Amy, Charliey, Dena, and their entire families added strength and comfort in the coming days of adjustment to such a great loss.

I had written you a message yesterday and for some reason it did not print it. I am still in shock that your mom is gone. She and I shared so much and I love her dearly, Amanda. She was such a dear, dear friend to me. Her beautiful voice blessed me over and over again. and George and I loved to hear her sing, "The Anchor Holds"; there is just no one who can sing it like she did. George had even told her that he wanted her to sing it at his funeral. I am sure she is singing it in heaven and rejoicing around the throne. Our hearts are aching with you and our prayers are with you all. We will miss her so much. God bless you and hold you in His everlasting arms in the days ahead.

I am beyond sorry to hear of Sharon's passing. Just doesn't seem possible. I've known Sharon for many years, we worked together at the bank side by side. I taught her to crochet when we weren't waiting on customers. :). She was a beautiful person in every way. I can still hear her voice and see that smile. What a loss for everyone who knew and loved her. Amanda and Matt, you were young children when I worked with your mom but I remember you both and knew how much your mom loved you. She was so proud of you both. We lost touch after she left the bank but I never forgot her or the memories we shared. She was a joy and I will miss knowing I won't be able to speak to her again. She was sure of her faith though so I know I will see her again. Love and prayers to your entire family.

Amanda and family . . . It is with sadness for all of you, that we hear about your sweet mother meeting our God. Yes, our heart is sad as she was so very sweet each time our paths crossed. I always enjoy your singing for us and each time I would think of her. Lean heavily on God and He will see you through this valley you are walking. Remember, you are loved.
