Sharon Lee Ng, 63, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, December 12, 2022. She is the beloved wife of Simon Ng with whom she shared 25 years of marriage.

Sharon was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on December 5, 1959 and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Martin) Tompkins. She received her elementary and High School education in the Catholic School System. She continued her education, obtaining her bachelor's degree in Microbiology

from UMASS Amherst and then graduated from Harvard University with her master's degree in Biology.

In her younger years, she was employed as a scientist for DuPont/NEN where she met her husband. Following the birth of their son, Nicholas, Sharon focused on being a devoted and dedicated mother.

In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She had a passion for caring for animals especially dogs and cats. She loved to take leisurely walks and took pride in volunteering for many organizations including her son's school ski program, coaching for her son's Lego League, and at the local soup kitchen. Lastly, she was a longtime devout Catholic of Immaculate Conception church. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her loving family who will miss her deeply.

In addition to her husband, Simon, she is survived by her son Nicholas Ng of Nashua, her three siblings, Karen Tompkins of Beverly, MA, John Tompkins of Peabody, MA, and Jim Tompkins and his wife Joan of Twinsburg, OH: as well as her niece Julie and her two nephews, Max and Jason. She also has a grand niece and a grand nephew, Grace and Henry.

Relatives and friends are invited Sharon's visitation on MONDAY, December 19th 2022from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua.

I just received this news 11/18/24 and regret not knowing soon enough to attend the funeral for someone that I worked with closely on scientific projects at NEN /Dupont in Boston in the late 1990's. Sorry Simon, no one ever plans to be alone. Fred Liberatore

My first memory of Sharon is her, her sister & her brothers visiting our house in Oil City! We all slept in sleeping bags & tried to stay awake as long as our parents!! May you continue to rest in Peace

Although we didn´t spend much time together as kids dear cousin, the time we did have was special. God Speed dear Cousin. May your star shine bright in the heavens and keep watch over us here that will keep your memory alive.
