Sharon Riggs Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 24 to Jun. 27, 2023.
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Sharon Riggs, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Sharon was born in Halifax on July 9, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Geraldine Connors and was predeceased by her husband Albert Riggs. She is survived by her three children, Sharal, Scott (Rose) and Heather Higdon, her grandchildren Melanie Brown (Nathan), Gregory Higdon (Maddi), and Alex Higdon, two great grandchildren Aiden and Everett Brown, brothers Ron (Toronto) and Neil (Gloria) Halifax and sister Carol Findlay (Toronto). Sharon was a kind and generous mother who loved spending time with her family, always looking forward to seeing pictures and videos of her great grandchildren. She loved every holiday and celebration, always caring deeply for the needs and happiness of her family. She was fortunate to have a close circle of friends that she spent much time with as they gathered daily and for social events in her apartment building or to play a round of cards. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held later. Donations in Sharon's memory can be made to Hope for Wildlife.
